René Roeten creates objects and drawings. Usually, his objects -or rather, his models- are forged from MDF. His chain-like, often geometric forms are cut from MDF and can be linked together to form spatial structures. Sometimes, he adds additional forms to these barren structures, such as stamp holders or chess pieces. Many of his models manifest as independent, compact universes. His many drawings and sketches form the basis for the spatial models. These can also be seen as independent products (such as the drawing of the iron feather structure).
