We have recently added two works by Annegret to our collection. In addition to the stunning piece in which the silicone cast of the Gunnera leaf hangs over
the former greenhouse panels and also lies on a transparent inflatable object, the earlier work Vigor has also been included in the collection. I came across it years ago; such a sad sight. It never left my mind and I finally purchased it years later in 2026. That’s how it goes
“It is confusing to feel pity for that ordinary houseplant that is shaken back and forth for hours, days, weeks on end, in full view of everyone. At the same time, it stands on an even more ordinary exercise bike, intended to make it grow strong and cute. Only the plant has no choice; it simply cannot get away.
